Conventional low volume assembly is undertaken using Mascot light-guided placement machines, which use eye-safe lasers to indicate the position and orientation of the component to be placed. Automated component selection ensures efficient production of even small volume assembly runs.

Higher volume requirements are catered for using automated placement carried out on 80-station Universal Axial Combi machines capable of up to 15,000 placements per hour.

Cleveland Circuits also provides an in-house surface mount assembly service using high-speed Juki automated placement machines capable of placing 4,000 components per hour, including BGA, TSOP and QFP devices.
