Dr John Bridge, Chairman of One NorthEast - unveils the commemorative plaque marking the opening of the new Cleveland Circuits Population Facility.

Opening the facility, Dr. Bridge said: “This is a shining example of a company successfully developing its business to move with the times and compete more strongly in the global market. Job creation from new initiatives such as this is vital for the future prosperity of the Tees Valley.”

Andrew Gleghorn, managing director of Cleveland Technologies said: “We decided some time ago that we could not afford to rest on our laurels. The way forward was to commit to long-term investment rather than short-term profit making. As a result we have improved market penetration and competitiveness in the face of increasing foreign competition and currency fluctuations. With the continued support of our customers and employees, we can see no reason why the group will not continue to grow and prosper.”

The investment programme has helped to further automate production and increase capacity at Cleveland Circuits. The company has been able to offer more competitive pricing and quicker delivery due to the automation improvements.

The company commented: “Significant growth, in fact growth at all, is not currently the norm in the electronics manufacturing market place and it is, we believe, our policy of continuous investment in training and equipment which has helped us to move forward in such a positive way. Cleveland Circuits is proud of its good reputation and is committed to providing the highest levels of service and delivery”
